Direct-Drive produces 3 times more torque than other electric bikes,
some costing more than 3 times the price.The Direct-Drive system
is located in the center of the bikes balance, in the crank.
Since the system drives the chain and not the wheel like on other
ebikes, the power transfer from the chosen derailleurs speed,
provides seamless hill climbing power to the rear wheel. In simple
terms, our motor drive system powers our bikes the same way a
human powers a bike, by the chain. So the derailleur effects the
power of the bike the same way a conventional bike is powered.
The principal advantage of Direct-Drive stems from our motor/worm drive combination, which delivers more power and
demands less battery power.

iGo power assisted electric bikes were designed specifically from the ground up to be electric bikes. The frames were developed to house our newest
generation of Direct Drive motor drive system. This is the most efficient way of powering a bike from the crank like humans have been powering a bike for decades.
Our power assist system controlled by our handlebar mounted display allows the rider to choose from 3 modes of power assisted pedaling, while on the go.
This display also houses the main power button, the light switch, as well as the battery meter. |

The main wires of our bikes were designed to pass through the main down tube of the frame to appreciate the sleek design of our unique frames.
We provided the controller its own compartment at the highest point of the bike for added weather proofing, and to make it easy to service. When the battery is in place on the integrated battery receptacle, the battery pack's top cover secures the controller case and the battery at the same time.
Since the battery has its own locking mechanism, when locked into place the controller is inaccessible for added security, and moisture protection.
Whether climbing steep hills, or cruising down some of natures nicest bike paths , you will quickly understand the time and effort spent on creating the iGo electric bicycle. The transition between conventional bicycle and electric power assisted E-Bike, has to be driven to be appreciated.

The styling of our Ebikes is unlike any other .
The reason is that we are the only e-bike in Canada to offer the
Direct-Drive motor system. For this reason all of our bikes had to be
designed from the ground up, around the needs of our drive system
which allowed us to design and style our bikes any way we chose.
The Urban's step through design was created with the
commuter / leisure biker in mind, in order to create a comfortable,
ergonomic product. We chose a step through design which caters to
both men and woman, of different ages, heights and weights.
This type of design is also extremely safe to drive , and builds
confidence in riders ability. Our step through frame is built with a more
aggressive look, with an oversized down tube, and a solid floating tail.
This is a unique feature of the Urban and allows for comfort and
stability.
The Titan's dual suspension design is both rugged and stable for on or
off trail riding. It offers front fork suspension, as well as a rear wheel
swing arm suspension.
All of our frames are designed with an integrated battery rack in order to
give the bikes a more conventional look. With an optional cargo bag,
both bikes have the appearance of a standard bicycle. |
